Patient with steroid-induced perioral dermatitis. Stopping the topical products used at home brought limited improvement. Immunomodulatory medication was prescribed and the skin care routine was adjusted.
Patient with papulopustular acne. Comedogenic skincare products were removed from the routine. An appropriate skincare routine and topical retinoids were prescribed. Treatment is ongoing.
Patient with papulopustular acne. Topical retinoids initially produced a positive response. Breakouts returned a year later, while the patient was using numerous active skincare ingredients. Following tests, systemic retinoids were prescribed and the skincare routine was adjusted. Treatment is ongoing.
Patient with longstanding dyshidrotic eczema and a recent flare-up. Solutions and creams used at home without a prescription had worsened the symptoms. Desensitizing treatment and topical anti-inflammatory and antiseptic treatment were prescribed, with subsequent improvement.
Patient with a drug allergy presenting as erythema multiforme, with rashes and erosions on the skin and mucous membranes. Treatment included intravenous infusions, anti-inflammatory medication and antihistamines, as well as topical healing and antiseptic preparations, with a positive response.
